  • 27% were less likely to promote employees who had visible tattoos inked on their body.
  • Sporting an unprofessional hairstyle is also a factor for not getting promoted. In fact 25% employers were less likely to promote their employees who had kept unprofessional hairstyles.
  • 24% were less likely to promote employees with constant bad breath. It always helps to keep a mouth freshener with  you.
  • Using too much perfume or cologne may be a trend or you might come out as a cool person but it will certainly not help you getting promoted. In fact 21% employers are less likely to promote employees who wear a lot of perfume or cologne.
  • Caking your face with loads of make up at work will lessen your chances in getting promoted. Remember you are going to your workplace to work and keeping the make up bare minimal always brings out your actual beauty.
