After showing her talent in Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Kangana Ranaut is back with Nikhil Advani's Katti Batti which has been released today, 18th September.
Apart from Kangana, Imran Khan is also making a comeback. His last film was released in 2013. The plot of the movie includes a love story with some twists and turns. The start of the movie states that it is not a love story.
As the couple are working together for the first time it seems to be an unconventional chemistry between the two of them. The reviews of the film are a mixture of good and bad.
Kangana rocks in her wig and trendy outfits in the film whereas Imran Khan vows to remain like the loyal and loving boyfriend. The start of the movie tells us that they have broke up but the narrative slowly fills us with the exact details about them. The film starts off in style with fun and quirkiness.
The numerous flashbacks paint an adorable picture of youthful romance disturbed with silly fights. But after a while the love becomes stale and non-existent. However after the interval the story begins to unfold and Kangana's side of story is revealed along with her excellent acting skills.
Katti Batti is not perfect. It requires a long time to come to the term which gradually becomes its reason of unimpressiveness. In serious need of excellent modifying and more amusing dialogues, the movie nevertheless has its heart in the right place.
