A saree is a perfect ensemble that every Indian woman owns because it is the best way to show off your killer body. However it takes a lot of your time to wear a saree and so women make a lot of mistake while doing it. If you want to glam up your outfit avoid doing these 10 mistakes that women often make while wearing a saree. Lets get started.
1. Backless Choli
If you are plump and have a thin bra band you should avoid wearing backless cholis at all cost. It is very important to wear a choli that suits your body type.
2. The shoes
Wearing flats with your saree is a strict no-no. If you are not comfortable wearing heels, wear only 2-3 inches of heels and avoid wearing wedges at all costs.
If you are wearing an embellished saree avoid wearing heavy jewelery and over accessorizing. A saree looks more glamorous in its own natural way.
Never wear loud makeup when wearing a saree. You should accentuate only one feature of your face, either the eyes or the lips, unless you are walking the red carpet.
Do not wear your saree too high or too low from your waist. It looks best when you keep it around your waist bone which allows you to show your curves without looking indecent.
6. Chiffon and Net Tip
While wearing a chiffon saree or a net one do not make the mistake of pleating the pallu. Let it be loose and flowing.
7. Bra mistake
Women have the tendency to show their bra straps while wearing the attire, which is totally uncool and it takes away the elegance while wearing the outfit.
8. Bag it
We often do not think much about matching our bags with the saree. So the next time you step out wearing a saree, leave your handbag behind and grab a studded clutch.
Wearing a maang tika and earrings along with a saree looks good but pairing them up together makes you look over-dressed. So it is better to either wear a maang tika or a jhumka with your saree.
10. The underskirt
Like the choli, the underskirt or the petticoat is also important while wearing a saree. Make sure you are wearing a cotton petticoat under your saree as it allows the saree to sit well on you.
