We don't think that there is a need to introduce Sachin Bansal, but we are going to do it anyway. He is the founder of Flipkart, the largest e-commerce company of the country and one of the youngest entrepreneurs in India with an estimated net worth of $1.3 billion.
However, what is shocking is the new role that he occasionally plays, of that of a delivery man. Yes, Sachin Bansal turned into a delivery man and went off to deliver packages in Bangalore. He tweeted about the same on Twitter saying that he was feeling excited doing the deliveries today in Bangalore.
After bringing the shopping experience at our doorsteps its time that we prepare ourselves to greet him when he shows up at our door for delivering our package.
Binny Bansal, the co-founder of Flipkart said that over the next 15-20 days everyone associated with the company will go out and deliver packages to the customers which will also include the leaders. The gesture brings back the days when the two Bansals shuttled across Bangalore in 2007 for delivering books on their scooters.
Flipkart opened up the Big Billion Days sale of 5 days and unlike last year's Big Billion Day, there were less glitches in comparison. Flipkart's target includes a total sale of 10 million in these five days for different products. Binny Bansal said that was the sale that they do in a month. The company said that over 3 million mobile phones were sold in the first two days and the traffic included 70 million visits from the customers.
