Regarded a luxury not too far back, mobile phones have achieved a point that they can now become a product. But on Wed, things will reach a whole new level.
As part of its attempt to plug every Indian, local smart phone producer Buzzing Alarms 'with tremendous support' from the Indian govt will release an cost-effective smart phone called the Independence 251 on Wed. The Independence 251, recognized as India's most affordable smart phone -and likely the least expensive smart phone on the globe as well - will sport a cost tag below Rs. 500 (approximately $7).
The Indian smart phone producer said that it can tell you the exact list cost of the device and other details like its requirements at the release occasion. The producer added the release occasion will see the presence of a number of top Indian govt authorities including Shri Manohar Parrikkar, Partnership Reverend of Defense and Shri Murali Manohar Joshi, Hon'ble Member of Parliament.
Ringing Alarms says that the smart phone is in line with PM Narendra Modi's perspective to plug every Indian and enhance their lives. The company also claims that its smart phone is built to meet the goals of Create In India, the national project to attract international as well as household players to producer their products in India.
Buzzing Alarms had declared earlier that the Independence 251 will be costing "less than Rs. 500". But we can now validate that the smart phone will be costing Rs. 251 (less than $4). At that cost, it's easily the least expensive smart phone on the globe.
The website also lists important requirements of the Independence 251: 4-inch display, 1.3GHz quad-core processer, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage (expandable up to 32GB), 3.2-megapixel back digital camera, 0.3-megapixel front digital camera, and a 1450mAh battery.
The Independence 251 will be formally revealed in New Delhi on Wed evening at a meeting that will be presided over by Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, MP, with the Partnership Defense Reverend Sri Manohar Parrikar as the Primary Visitor.
Buzzing Alarms says the Independence 251 smart phone has been developed 'with tremendous support' from the govt and is offering it as a success story of PM Modi's leading 'Make in India' plan.
A smart phone costing Rs. 251 will go an extended way in linking every Indian, and like the previous govt tried to take processing to the public with the Aakash tablet, the Independence 251 has the potential to realise the 'Digital India' perspective.
